Hello all I have sent funds to a BTC address however the transaction is still showing Status: 0/unconfirmed after several days. I have successfully sent funds to the same address in the past so I dont understand what could be the problem, however the beneficiary is not crediting me for the money received and the money is gone from my account, what can I do?

Can you show us the transaction id? If the fee was insufficient you'll either have to wait it out, or attemt to create a RBF/double spend.

maybe you're setting your miners fee to 0 which make your transaction unconfirmed for a long time maybe 1 week and your transaction will be rejected, your bitcoin r not going to go anywhere but you just need a time whether the transaction will be confirmed sometime or rejected and will be brought back to your address i don't know but the bitcoin for sure will not lost

The funds are not lost. However, you will only get them back after the transaction is rejected by the network.
Sometimes, rebroadcasting the transaction can help getting it confirmed. Otherwise, you will probably have to wait it out, can take up to a week if I'm not mistaken.
In the future, make sure you have a sufficient fee to get accepted in blocks easier. How much did you add? Remember that fees are slowly rising and that the old 10k satoshi might not be good enough anymore.

Which wallet client did you use (core, electrum, multibit), and maybe it would be good to also include the version number.
This program uses Qt version 4.8.4.

I also cannot see the transaction, which is weird. Could it already have been rejected? In any way, how much were the fees you paid with this transaction? I always send a little bit more than the minimum required fee, to guarantee a quick confirmation. Good luck, I hope it gets rejected. ^hmmmmm^

The transaction is not to be found. This means imho that it was already rejected. The money should be back in your wallet, or will be there soon.

Nope, doesn't means rejected. It's still waiting to be accepted and broadcasted probably.

This program uses Qt version 4.8.4. isn't 4.8.4 a bit old? if you send coin with a old client, they will be stuck there in the chain until it return to you, you need to use last version of core or equivalent if light wallet

This program uses Qt version 4.8.4. What program are you talking about? The stated version of 4.8.4 makes no sence to me, do you mean 0.8.4?

If it's indeed bitcoin QT 0.8.4 : https://bitcoin.org/en/version-history shows us this version was released on 03/09/2013. It might be advisable for the OP to upgrade, altough i'm not completely sure the upgrade path will be easy to go from such an old version to a new one. It might be a good idear to make a decent backup of the wallet.dat, and try to install bitcoin core on a new pc and import the wallet.dat without touching the old installation (i have no idear if this would work, but at least by not touching the old installation, the risk of ruining his wallet would be small)

OP should look at the Bitcoin core version dialog, not the Qt version. Qt it the (crappy IMHO) cross-platform application framework that the UI component is written in. BTW core v0.12.1 is using Qt version 5.5.0 so this appears to be an older version.

Maybe your transcation is rejected, your btc will be back on your wallet soon. Just wait. Or maybe you can contact the support of your wallet owner. You can ask your question up there.

It seems like that the transaction ID is not showing up on blockchain.info at the moment. Hopefully you get your money back soon, I personally have never experienced such a problem. What wallet are you using currently?
