Bayern Munich boss Carlo Ancelotti has opened talks with Manchester United target Zlatan Ibrahimovic over a move to the Allianz, according to reports.

German newspaper Bild claims that Ancelotti has approached the Swedish international’s representatives about the likelihood of a move to Bayern.

The Italian, who recently replaced Pep Guardiola as manager, is thought to be concerned that Robert Lewandowski could leave the Bundesliga champions and sees Ibrahimovic as a potential option.

It has been widely reported that the former Barcelona striker will join Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford after Euro 2016, but these latest reports could mean the Red Devils face a fight for his signature.

Bild also claim that Ibrahimovic sees Bayern as a better option to achieve his final goal of winning the Champions League.

Last year, Ibrahimovic admitted he would consider a move to Bayern Munich.

“Sure, the Bundesliga would appeal to me. One day, it may happen. I still have a bit of time [in my career],” the Swede said.

“Clearly, if I go to Germany, then I’ll go to Bayern Munich. For me, they are one of the five best clubs in the world.”
