I find this to be karma turned back around on women. The first "feminists" were also teetotalers. They were the ones who pushed for prohibition because they didn't want their husbands to drink anymore. Those husbands probably drank because of poor life/work balances. Fast forward to today, women are now more likely than men to be alcoholics. Karma is a bitch.
