Note that "not being a racist" is actually not included in the definition. You can be a politically correct racist, so long as you play your words right.

The entire discussion revolves around their words in front of a camera, you can be a closet racist all you want and say PC things (probably specifically so people dont know you're a racist), but as soon as you say or do something racist, you've, you crossed the line into being not-PC, and since this discussion is very much about a public presentation, his use is fine, and your splitting hairs to save face is rather silly

The definition very clearly states that being PC revolves much more closely around one's personal reputation than any sort of genuineness of ideas. This is an important distinction to make, especially if you believe in systemic disadvantages of certain racial groups in mainstream society and wish to see these imbalances changed. Image and distinct belief can be very different things depending on which hands they fall into.

Thats.... what it was intended to actually mean, yes... the way a political figure would speak to avoid unnecessary offense or insult.

 

Its since been both heavily twisted as a general insult on purpose and "what is PC" has expanded or been used as a weapon inappropriately at times, so its lost all meaning at this point.
