Fe looks pretty interesting. I got Unraveled from last year and enjoyed it, I'll trust EA with this one too

Bethesda finally convinced me to pre-order Dishonored 2 with the Definitive Edition bundle. Looking forward to going home and playing through dh1 again. Hopefully actually finishing it this time.

The Bethesda VR announcement took me by utter surprise, especially with Fallout Vive support, more reason for me to wish I had a Vive

Anyone else think BF1 just... doesn't look that exciting? There's just not a lot about it other than the setting that feels fresh or new. The only distinctly new features I recall seeing were the behemoths, the driver/pilot class and the ability to knock craters into the ground (though that was a thing in BC2 but it barely meant anything as it was pretty hard to use them as cover).

From the way it was presented I expected major changes to the dynamics of the game, stepping back to appreciate some of the older designs in BF1942 and BF2, but apparently "going back to the series roots" really seems to have just meant going back to a setting closer to WW2 rather than modern warfare.

EDIT: Titanfall 2 looks dope, though. I think the devs had a pretty good chance to learn from their mistakes in TF and I really expect this boy to do pretty well, though it's unfortunate what it's competing against, in a way.

Actually a really exciting E3 so far.

My highlight so far has definitely been Fallout 4 VR. In fact, all of Bethesda Game Studios' stuff yesterday night but especially the thought of a proper AAA VR game. I'm kinda glad it's not coming out until 2017 though because with all these games in the autumn, I won't be able to afford a Vive and probably a new graphics card (fancy a 1080 upgrade) until then.

Mafia III looks pretty good. I loved the first two and the story looks like it could be as good if not better than those. The documentary style presentation is unique to games, hope it works out for them

Also, a lot of games releasing this fall

Dishonored 2 Gears of war 4 Mafia 3 Watch dogs 2 Battlefield 1

The producer of the BF1 post show gameplay thing needs to calm down a bit. It was doing my head in that they were switching camera every 10 seconds.

Another note, did they have paid hype members in the audience at Bethesda? seemed like the same 10 people screaming at every tiny piece of info, and when the camera panned to the general crowd most people seemed fairly calm and quiet. Still, that woman screaming annoyed the fuck out of me.

EA's conference was so boring, I'll paste my response I sent to my cousin:

It was probably early because it was half-assed. It was probably only done this year so they could tell their stockholders they are still doing Madden and Fifa. They probably were like, "Oh shit we can only talk about Madden and Fifa for an hour, we gotta throw some other stuff in there! Uh... Mass Effect is coming someday! We're making Battlefront 2 in 2017, then another Star Wars game in 2018! Crap uhhh we gotta get celebrities to play BF1, get them high! Get me Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dog!"

The interviewer and the announcers were the real cringe. I mean that intro for the BF1 stream was meme-tastic. EA is beating Aisha Tyler at the /r/FellowKids game.

I don't like the pins in the portagonist's clothing, but otherwise I liked Watchdogs a lot when it released, so I hope WD2 is good. I'm worried abit because I can't fully trust Ubi, nevertheless if you're into it, there's nothing wrong with preordering ANY FUCKING GAME YOU LIKE. I wouldn't do it, but fuck my opinion dude, it's your money.

Yup. It doesn't make a game tho, it just adds some depth or whatever, I don't care about character looks really, as long as the game turns out to be good.

As I said, currently my biggest stop from preordering is frustration. I really had high hopes on The Division and after they released the raid I sold it. I thought it was disappointing, unbalanced and full of bugs.

I love the new style that they're doing for it. I couldn't take the first one seriously with its grim storyline so I never got it. Besides, any game or movie that uses N.E.R.D in its trailer is an automatic buy for me. Pharrell can make me do things o.o

Making it a bit goofier wouldn't hurt. I liked the first game a lot but they tried to make it this deep grim TV storyline and it ended u pfeeling very disjointed.

In itself, that should have been an abhorrent thing, reminding you of the dark underside of unlimited communication and dehumanisation but because it was jumbled in as just another mission inbetween a bunch of other crime cliches, it just fell flat.

I thought it would be nice to be able to go to r/games for E3 recaps instead of having to visit a bunch of sites and follow everything as it's happening. Although I don't exactly have a high opinion of the community in that subreddit, JESUS CHRIST the raging negativity in EVERY. SINGLE. THREAD. is just overwhelming. The only remotely positive thread is the one about Dishonoured 2, and even there pretty much every comment thread devolves into how the presentation was "shitty" because "he was talking all over it." Fuck, if I wanted to talk to 13-year-old edgy teens who think cynical sarcasm is a shortcut to wit, I'd...well I guess I'd go to r/games, that seems like the easiest route.
