This place won't be any less "uncensored" than /r/news, it's simply the other side's ideas of what should be news.

The moderators have even said that the new mods were all approved by one single moderator, who filled the mod list with friends from /r/European. No one can possibly say with a straight face that one person and his friends running a "news source" will turn out to be unbiased

True. I pick the mods. The way reddit works is that the top mod has ultimate power no matter if we like it or not. And as it's on me to make sure that the sub doesn't become censored I'll pick people who've done a good job before.

Their political opinions I could not care a flying fuck about to be honest. We currently have one outspoken holocaust denier and a jew as mods. Both are here to do a job and what they personally think is none of my business unless it affects the way they moderate.

The sub will have a public modlog open soon and that will make it visible to anyone who does what.

If you truly don't care about political opinions, and you truly want an uncensored subreddit, why not make an attempt to being in a diversity of opinions?

Having someone who is of a specific ethnicity and then having a multitude of Holocaust deniers is in no way multiple political opinions

Because I don't care about diverse opinions. All I care about is that they mod without taking their political views into the mix. And you know what the sad reality is. That it's 100 times easier to find people that are able to set their own views aside on the right side of the political spectrum than on the left.

This is also reflected by the fact that almost every sub controlled by left leaning mods are censored shit holes.

Groups that almost always put feelings before duty:

  1. Feminists
  2. Sexual minorities
  3. Racial "minorities"
  4. Socialists or people who subscribe to other left leaning ideologies

All I care about is that they mod well and the ones I've picked so far all have a history of doing so. I value merit and previous actions over any other feeling based nonsense.

If people cannot accept that, then nothing is keeping them here.

Do you really not get this? You're already deciding which groups you don't trust and you've included "racial minorities" into that list?! How can you possibly expect to run an "unbiased" subreddit with that attitude?

You don't seem to get what I'm saying. I don't give a flying fuck about peoples opinions on who I mod or who I don't mod. I also don't give a flying fuck about the opinions held by the mods. All that matters is that they do a good job. If they don't they'll be kicked out.

How can you possibly expect to run an "unbiased" subreddit with that attitude?

But ignoring people like you and doing our job which will be open for anyone to see as soon as the public modlog is up and running. I believe in actions not words and no amount of whining from your or anyone else will change that the only thing I care about are the work the mods .

You obviously do care about people's opinions, political and otherwise. You just told me you don't trust the opinions of racial minorities or people on the left.

I like how the owner of Uncensored News is telling us opinions on racial minorities, sexual minorities, socialists, and feminists and how they can't run a subreddit because of their feelings.

Why on earth would you think that the head mod of a subreddit named "uncensored news" telling people he doesn't trust racial minorities to report news wouldn't affect the way the sub would be run?

There are plenty of ways to shape a subreddit to an agenda other than simply removing posts.

You claim that leftists, feminists, and sexual and racial minorities can't be trusted to be impartial with zero proof whatsoever. It isn't a "sad reality", it's your opinion born of your own social and political biases and as a someone who identifies himself politically as a leftist I'm offended by that.

But you have every right to state your opinion, no matter how ignorant it may be. And I have a right to mine. I'm not going to fuel your misconceptions about people on my side of the political spectrum by calling for you to step down, or balance the moderation team on some arbitrary political basis. if you are truly capable of being an impartial moderator it will show in the content and quality of this subreddit. Truthfully I'm sticking around to see what ends up happening.
