I'm at a loss for words here. Off course not every religious person in the world is evil. But don't pretend like no evilness comes from religion, and don't you dare to pretend for a second that religion wasn't to blame here. W h y if this fucking fairy tale brings so much pain, suffering, death and plague to the world, do people grasp on to it so much? Why do you defend it? Keep worshipping it? W h y? Seriously. How fucking selfish do you need to be, to value the false belief in a fairy tale over the wellbeing over millions of other people? If so much people kill and condemn in the name of something you CHOSE to believe in, why do you keep on CHOOSING to support it? Every day I have to read about gay people being excuted here, my gay friends being beat up there, trans people being murdered elsewhere, and somewhere else a hatemongering asshole is preaching that I'm less than other's, all because of religion. (And don't even think about pulling the 'not all homophobia is religious'-card, because without those fucking 2 phrases in the Bible and Koran the entire concept of homophoba historically wouldn't even exist.) I didn't choose to be LGBT. People DO CHOOSE to be religious. So if you want to believe in something so damaging so bad, if you refuse to step away from something made up that literally is keeping the world from progressing in time, please, feel free to. Have a fucking party. But don't fucking moan when people are upset because 50+ of their fucking brothers and sisters get killed because of your fucking ideology. There is a serious problem with religion, and if you keep looking away, turning it down and dismissing it simply because 'some religious people don't do things like that', you're maintaining the problem. We live in a world where everything slightly damaging except guns, hey 'murka hey gets isolated and removed, we remove entire buildings built of asbestos because when heated it can cause cancer, but we just let the leading cause of war and (unnatural) death in the world be, just because not every religious person causes that? Think about that for a second. Yeah, cue the downvotes, I don't give a fuck. I spent all day feeling like shit and had to bottle this up because I just knew that I couldn't touch the fucking pedestal which religious people are placed on if I didn't want to feel like shit even more.
