Rio Ferdinand Can’t Believe Patrice Evra is Still Playing

Rio Ferdinand can’t believe Patrice Evra is still playing after worrying he was over it at Manchester United.

The English legend played with the Frenchman for eight years while at Old Trafford, winning five Premier League titles, three League Cups and a Champions League together.

But by the time they both left the club, many believed they were approaching the worst years of their career.

While that proved to be the case for Ferdinand, who played just one more season with Queens Park Rangers before retiring, it wasn’t for Evra.

The French left-back has just finished his second season with Juventus, where he’s won two Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia trophies and reached the Champions League final once.

And he started for his country in their 2-1 victory over Romania in the opening game of Euro 2016.

You’d think Ferdinand would have faith in the quality of his 35-year-old team-mate. But it turns out the Englishman had worries that Evra’s legs had gone in his final season with United.

Speaking in his Euro 2016 vlog, Ferdinand said: “Listen, Patrice Evra is still playing you know, it’s unbelievable.

“When he was at Manchester United, I thought ‘woah, this guy, his legs are not looking good’.

“He’s played for, what is it, three more years?”

There’s also a funny bit of the vlog where Ferdinand watches a video of a man wearing a full gold outfit dancing and compares him to Evra:

Just seconds later there’s a cutaway of Ferdinand laughing at something on his phone and if you zoom in on it you can see he’s sent the video to Evra and the Juventus man wasn’t happy:

In case you can’t make out what it says on the phone, the text conversation goes like:

Ferdinand: U wearing gold….I see u bro!!

Evra: F**k offfffffffff

Evra: You are sooooo stupid !!!! (sic)

That will certainly entertain Manchester United fans.
