Hypothesis: the cause of problems in the present age is lack of moral accountability. Simply consider who is each one of us is morally accountable to, and in turn who they are morally accountability, and so on, and how it affects behaviour up/down this overall hierarchy/chain of accountability.
If this is true, can there be such thing as moral accountability, without someone to whom everyone is ultimately morally accountable? If not, who is person to whom we are ultimately all morally accountable? Will that not solve our problems?
