This is bull. Google doesn't suggest things that could potentially be offensive by default.

In particular, they don't seem to do autocompletions containing the word "rape."

Iirc there was some backlash against them from the LGBT community when they discovered that "bisexual" was another one of their silenced words.

This. I work on online marketing and have promoted adult websites as an affiliate. It is very difficult to do SEO for many keywords for them and Google also introduced a "payday loan" penalty for controversial sites in the adult, gambling and other niches.

It's not censored for me either, see below. Do you have SafeSearch on by any chance? That would probably filter out search completions with any type of sexual connotations.

DuckDuckGo (Unfiltered Google) seems to concur.

That's not what I'm seeing (checked in a separate browser). You do get a single "Bill Clinton rap album" with "Bill Clinton R"
