We'll try to have stickies each day for Euro 2016 games, with the main concentration and discussion being about Manchester United Players, former players and players we've been linked to or you would like to discuss signing.

Maybe someone can help me here. I've seen a lot of Giroud and a lot of Martial and I believe that Martial is miles beyond Giroud on most every level. Beside Martial, Giroud looks a bit like a donkey.

Is Giroud really preferred with France?

France want a more target man style of striker in Giroud who also plays very well for the national team normally. Payet will also drift in field and Griezmann pushing up high so it can flick between.

Giroud plays centrally, Martial is competing with Payet as a LW. And Giroud is not as shit as people say

Thanks for answering my question. I mean, Giroud's scoring record this season is pretty good. He's sitting at about a goal every two games and has scored 4 in 4 this year for France.

I like Martial playing on the left. I think he should really develop there long-term and I'm glad Deschamps thinks so too.

Easy there. Not unreasonable to start with Payet considering his threat on set pieces as well. Plus assuming a change is needed later in the game, Martial will prove most effective against tired fullbacks with his pace and dribbling.

Because crazy as it may sound, Giroud has been extremely productive for France and Griezmann has always played on the right. Martial is yet to look convincing anywhere but LW, why mess with that just to fit him into a team that's well stacked with quality?

Oh absolutely he's better. But I'm assuming just that extra threat gives him an edge. We'll see how he performs. Surely he's not guaranteed that spot
