Manchester United defender Paddy McNair has revealed he has received a good luck text from new manager Jose Mourinho ahead of Euro 2016.
The 21-year-old is part of the Northern Ireland squad that will start their European Championship campaign against Poland on Sunday.
Speaking ahead of the game, McNair says he hoping to impress his new manager with his performances in France.
And he revealed he has already been in contract with Mourinho, who replaced Louis van Gaal as United manager last month, when the Portuguese coach wished the youngster good luck this week.
McNair said: "He sent me a text message wishing me good luck for the tournament which was nice of him.
"I'm sure he'll be watching and I'll be trying my best and hopefully he likes what he sees."
