Manchester United Legends will take on FC Barcelona Legends at Camp Nou at a later date after confirmation the original 2 July 2016 fixture is to be rearranged.
Professional commitments stemming from Euro 2016 led to scheduling conflicts for some of the players due to participate, resulting in the postponement.
A new date will be announced in due course through both clubs' official channels and the return game at Old Trafford is still scheduled for next summer.
United will call upon several stars who featured in the 1999 Champions League victory over Bayern Munich at the iconic stadium while José Mari Bakero, captain of the famous Barcelona team of the early 1990s, has been confirmed as manager of the Catalan team.
Following the format of the Manchester United Legends' fixtures of recent years, Old Trafford will welcome the Barcelona Legends on 4 June 2017 for the return leg.
Both games will be shown live on MUTV in the UK and Ireland. All proceeds from the matches will be split between the two clubs' charitable foundations. You can find out more about Manchester United Foundation at www.mufoundation.org.
