There are so many components of hilarity in this that I watched it three times to fully appreciate it.

On the first watch you kinda get bored till the end.

That hurts to watch "YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG"

I was expecting something amazing, i think its how bored you get that makes it funny. It does kinda hurt to watch though.

As a kid, I never used scissors to open my milk containers.

Is it just me or did his scissors kind of explode at one point?

Yeah, there was definitely flame and a singed mark on the container after the 3rd cut. I REALLY want some context behind what is happening here.

No flame, no singe on the carton. It's just the studio lights reflecting off of the scissors and the old camera not being able to handle it too well.

Old camera technology. The light reflected from the scissors overstimulates the camera and creates a blur. Try watching old concerts filmed with cheaper cameras and notice how the spotlights trail on the screen as the camera moves.

It just catches the reflection of the studio lights.

Beyond the ridiculous inanity of how tedious this is, every time I've watched this all I can think is "How do you plan on closing it if you don't use all of it?"

Now I can have milk every day!

Why not post the original video? This is not what GIFs are for.

Edit: Here's the video

That twist

In Canada we have milk in plastic bags. Good thing we don't deal with this crap

In the UK we have bottles

Are other countries confused at how we use plastic bags for milk? I know I couldn't figure it out for a month when I first came to Canada.

Yes. We are very confused about why bagged milk is a thing. (US)

We have it in the Upper Midwest, at least.

Minnesota has it.

Little Canada.

I'm imagining a flimsy walmart bag.

I remember having bagged milk in elementary school. They replaced the cardboard containers with those.

We used cardboard containers for a while and the teachers and students complained they were too hard to open half the time so the school said "fuck it, no more free milk for your daily snack" and we all suffered from malnutrition and we all contracted osteoporosis.

Jesus.

BC resident, I've only ever seen bagged milk when I was in Ontario

My grandparents used to buy bagged milk... I haven't seen it in the stores for a long time in BC though.

Bagged milk is strictly an Ontario thing.

No it's not.

Yeah that's just some Ontarian thinking right there. Nova Scotia and the Atlantic provinces have it too. But good on you for speaking out your ass.

Nova Scotian here, A) We are an Atlantic Province, B) Never seen bagged milk here.

You probably dont live in halifax. Also I never even stated NS wasn't an Atlantic province, just made a specific example and then gave the larger group size.

I live in Halifax. Never seen bagged milk. And yes, I do go to grocery stores.

Anecdotal I guess, I've seen them so I don't know where you shop, but just ask someone around you if they've seen them and I guarentee they will say yes.

I've always thought it was a Ontario thing, I didn't really think it was so important that I needed to check and make sure before I said it.

Its in Quebec too. And I believe like.. nearly everywhere else. Last I checked, my buddy up in Alert had bagged milk on the base...

Carton technology has come a long way since this video was produced.

I hate this! You have to hold the bag up with one hand otherwise it all just flops around when you pour it!

After 9 years in development, we hope it has been worth the wait.
