Dimitar Berbatov returned to Old Trafford on Sunday and scored twice in the Soccer Aid charity match – which feels like a good excuse to show the Bulgarian’s best bits at Manchester United.
The striker, known affectionately as Berba, joined from Tottenham Hotspur during the summer of 2008 and stayed for four seasons, scoring 56 goals in 149 Reds appearances along the way. He also lifted two Premier League titles, the League Cup and the prestigious FIFA Club World Cup.
Berbatov was top scorer during the title-winning 2010/11 season with 21 goals and it was during that successful campaign that he bagged a memorable hat-trick against Liverpool, before producing another wonderful individual display by netting five times in the 7-1 win over Blackburn Rovers.
Dimitar left United for Fulham in 2012 but returned to Old Trafford at the weekend, when he scored a second-half brace while playing for a Rest of the World XI that lost 3-2 to England in aid of UNICEF.
