One of my closest friends, Yasemin, is a brilliant teacher. She wants to educate refugee children who couldn't otherwise afford it before she begins a masters program at Columbia University in International Educational Development with a focus in Peace and Human Rights Education.

She doesn't know I'm writing this post but she deserves the help. I met her in Beijing in 2013 when she was teaching English at English First. That's not some bullshit company that allows any college dropout to teach, they run a strict and rigorous training program and require all teachers to have the necessary certificates. Before long, she was the best teacher in terms of student performance in the entire city. And that's a huge city. I witnessed her care for her students, the genuine love she felt for them, the hardwork she put into each and every student. I witnessed her share in her students' achievements and in their shortcomings. She not only raised the bar for performance within the company. She raised the bar for education within the city. Yasemin truly is a wonderful human being and a passionate educator.

This is why I'm asking everyone here to donate to her campaign to help these children in need. Help her help refugee children.
