I have been saving every ‘reliable’ transfer rumor from the last few months, this post is to stay updated with our targets for people that either don’t refresh new every 10 seconds and for people that want a good overview of everyone that we are linked with.

It has been 12 days since I last posted this thread, you can see the added transfer rumours under NEW.

Targets

Some time ago Mohamed Bouhafsi (Tier 2) said that we are willing to offer €50 million for Toni Kroos, PSG were already in talks with him and he’s also on Guardiola’s shortlist.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio (Tier 1) , we are very interested in Roma’s Kostas Manolas. Roma’s asking price appears to be €40 million (Read more about the situation in the article).

France Football say that we are interested in Riyad Mahrez

Gianluca Di Marzio says we want Alvaro Morata though Chelsea, PSG and Arsenal are also interested]. Despite these links, Juventus’ General Director says that Morata wants to stay.

Lukaku’s dad has said that his son will go to either Manchester United or Bayern Munchen

El Confidencial say that James is leaving and his agent Jorge Mendes (Mourinho’s agent) has already contacted several clubs

James Ducker (Tier 3) said that we have been scouting Joao Mario and Leroy Sane

Antoine Griezmann is listening to approaches from multiple clubs and has not made a decision on his future yet according to his agent

Gianluca Di Marzio says Jorge Mendes has a big project in mind which is bringing Valencia’s Andre Gomes to Manchester United, Napoli and Juventus are also interested.

Both Mark Ogden (Tier 3) and Mohamed Bouhafsi say that we will target John Stones.

Jamie Jackson (Tier 3) and Fabrizio Romano made an article about our targets, which are: Andre Gomes, Joao Mario, John Stones, Alvaro Morata, Mauro Icardi and Ezequiel Garay

NEW

Sky Sport’s Guglielmo Cannavale says that Mourinho wants Kostas Manolas and contacts are ongoing but Stones and Varane are in the shortlist as well.

Various sources including Tier 1 sources are reporting that we are close to signing Eric Bailly and The Daily Mail’s Lee Clayton is saying that Bailly’s medical is today on the 7th of June

Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that we have approached Chelsea for Nemanja Matic

Roma based La Repubblica are reporting that Mourinho wants Pjanic at Manchester United but Gianluca Di Marzio says that Pjanic’s agent has reached an agreement with Juventus

Basically every reliable news outlet has now said that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is joining Manchester United, nothing official yet but it would be a very big shock if Zlatan doesn’t join Manchester United.

PSG have contacted Martial’s ‘entourage’ according to L’Equipe

As a fan I don't care at all how much we could sell him for, finances at a stable, big club like united only loosely effect my enjoyment for the club. I like Martial and I'd be upset if we sold him at any price... And truth be told I'd say that for all of my favorite players.

Right now, to PSG £65-70million easily. They're have plenty of money and it's his home country. Having just signed him as well last year we should get a major fee. I wouldn't sell him even for that personally but it seems about right.

We get taken to the cleaners because it's no secret we have money in the bank. I would expect us to demand the same from anyone who wants to take a player from our team.

Martial...anything less than £70m and I won't be able to sleep at night.

    Kroos probably wants a pay rise I would think. PSG? Why leave Madrid for the French league anyway? Doesn't make sense at all.

    Would be the best CM signing if we do it of course but I doubt that more than I doubt we are also working on Manolas while Bailly is supposedly joining already.

    Of course. But madrid is a much, much more established team and already pays well. Us you can understand in a way as we struggled. Madrid didn't struggle and won the CL. Doesn't make sense to me at least. Besides getting a new contract in the end I think.

    Not sure exactly how much he was on at Madrid but he complained about not being paid what he was worth, he's on £140k a week now at PSG

    EDIT looks like he was on 95k a week at Madrid so my original point stands.

    With reports (albeit DailyMail) today that Bailly is having his medical soon. If we indeed are getting him but JM wants Manolas still. Would we get Manalos if we were to have already signed Bailly?

    Definitely. Excluding Blind because he's not a fucking CB, we only have Smalling, Jones and Rojo for straight up first team quality. Back in the day we had 5 first team CBs (Vidic, Rio, Evans, Smalling and Jones).

    Definitely would not be opposed to having 2 new CB additions that could go straight into the first team. Would be good competition for Smalling and would hopefully give Jones the kick up the arse (if that doesn't injure him) he needs, otherwise he's out.

    On ESPN FC (the tv show) yesterday Gabrielle Marcotti said Bailly is being looked at as something of a project and that he's still somewhat inexperienced and raw. Marcotti said he understood United would still be looking for a more established CB to come in to the side this summer.

    See I thought that was the case about Bailly since he really hasn't had that much first team history as it stands - but does have a lot of intangibles for his age.

    But I hadn't read much to do about CB + CB coming in. I assumed there would be appetite for an established CB and a project...so that's reassuring.
