Given the original game was in monocolor, repeated world tiles whenever possible, and had only a handful of trainer sprites and less than a half-dozen monster sprites in the overworld, I would say that it probably was a big enough deal.

The japanese cartridges were 512-1024KB. Less than 1MB. Don't forget all the data in your savegame on the cartridge itself.

Omega and Alpha are great games, as well XY are much knew in the franchise, but both you should look into, as well as Fire Emblem!

Edit: Ya it's super alot of water, but if you never visited the Hoenn region in Omega and Alpha it's fun for a first play-through, BUT personally I loved X and Y better, the Kalos region is much more elegant and better looking and adventure

It is just a phrase used, as such in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM5), to describe nth feeling of not fitting with the gender that you are born with. I adore Pokemon and have almost every single game that's ever been released. I have all of the mainstream games, but I'm missing a few of the spin off games like Pokemon Channel. And everyone in the comments section is right. The "are you a boy or girl" thing didn't happen until the second generation of Pokemon.

Pokemon ORAS has to be one of my favorites, mainly because Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire were my first ever Pokemon games so that was a ton of nostalgia for me.
