Hi, I suppose it is vaguely similar, but here is the reasoning for the color: For the current squad shirt flairs in the first set of artwork I have used a bright red, matching that of our current kit. For the 'iconic' shirts in the second set of flairs I wanted to make the numbers gold, as a throwback to the legends that wore those numbers. The gold numbers do not work well on bright red, you need a darker color for it to stand out. I didn't want to go grey or black, that looked hideous. So I went for a darker 'royal' red, with gold numbers. I suppose it's similar to Roma's colors, but I don't think that is an issue, they don't own deep red and gold...

Your other suggestion is cool! I will add those shortly.

Edit: Here they are... I had to exaggerate the size of the logos on the shirts, simply so that they can (barely) be made out at the tiny 28px resolution. None of the smaller detail like the second sponsor or club logo can be made out at those small sizes, so I left those out.

I have set up the sprites in Photoshop at 28x28 px, so that added detail is possible. The current size of the r/reddevils sprites are 18x18 px I think... This means that either we have to make the new sprites smaller which would degrade the detail on the them considerably, or we have it at 28px, but you'll have to increase the line spacing a bit for post headers so that the flair isn't squashed in...

Sorry to jump in. After posting my original flair proposals further down in this thread, I've made some extra sprites (including some of the ideas you have named above) and I thought I'll post them all here in one place for you to access:

• My first proposal for current squad flairs
• My second proposal for fun flairs, including our badge, red devil, Munich disaster memorial clock, iconic shirts etc...
• Mockup of how the new sprites would display on the front page
• Photoshop (.psd) file 1 and file 2 containing the sprites as smart objects, layered and named
• Illustrator (.ai) file 1 and file 2 containing my original vector drawings

Please note that the previews are not true scale, i.e the flair wont be that big! The sprites are set up in the correct scale / resolution (28x28 px) in the Photoshop files I have supplied.

Edit 1: With the managers' initials in my second set of flairs: I have decided to make the text color for managers who have won league titles gold, those who have not I have made black, and the current manager I've made red.

Edit 2: My 2 cents... I would not use avatars of players' / coaches' faces on here as flairs, it looks really tacky...

Hi, unfortunately I have zero CSS or web coding skills, so you or any other member may freely use these if you want to. I have supplied the layered PSD file from where you can export the sprites to JPEG or PNG format. Let me know if you don't have Photoshop and would like me to export them...

I designed some new jersey sprites that you may use if you want. I think, reading the comments here, that people want a blend between jersey sprites that look less dated and more detailed, while at the same time not being too massive or overdone... So below is my submission:

• Preview of my proposed set of jersey sprites for the current team
• Mockup of how the new sprites would display on the front page
• Photoshop (.psd) file containing the sprites as smart objects, layered and named (resolution 28x28 px @72dpi)
• Illustrator (.ai) file containing the original vector objects so that people may modify these in the future
