Silly season has returned for the 4th summer on /r/reddevils!

Most of you know the drill.

For those who don't...From today until the window closes, a transfer round-up & discussion thread will be made every day. In these threads, ANYTHING can be talked about. Any player, in or out, any transfer fee, anything!

Now, with these threads starting, this means that rumours submitted as separate posts will be removed unless they are from reliable sources!

Dude Jack Whitehall had shades of Pirlo for some of those passes. I thought it was a running thing that Jack was retarded at all sports and he was usually there as a pity card. He played damn good.

Pjanic would be an amazing signing. I was born in Bosnia, so I may be biased, but he would do great in the Carrick role but would be an upgrade in pretty much every aspect. A perfect fit for CM, which is something we have been missing for a long time.

Do you think he is on the same level as Carrick defensively? I haven't seen much of him aside from highlights

I know Carrick is not the best defensively, but he can put in a good shift

Defensively? No, you don't get Pjanic for defense, he is the player that creates and is the heart of your attacking creativity. He has some of the highest goals and assists for his position, and his key passes are the highest in Italian football, higher even than Pogba.

Based on current Carrick? I think he's a clear step up defensively. He's not De Rossi or anything, but he is a capable defender. I actually just found this article from 2013 that goes really into depth about his playstyle. Keep in mind, this is 3 years ago, and he's only gotten better and better since.

Roma need to sell someone to comply with FFP. Selling Pjanic for his buyout clause would put them OK. He would certainly reenergize our midfield. It seems there is a holding pattern -- he's obviously up for sale, and several teams seem willing to meet the buyout (Barca, Juve, us, probably more). So, where will he go? It is his choice.

Hirving Lozano (20 forward from Pachuca) looked really good for the Mexico coming on for the last 35 minutes in a 3-1 win vs Uruguay at Copa America.

Lozano played LW, set-up the 3rd goal.

Pachuca VP Andres Fassi has apparently indicated United has asked about availability.
