                  I've got a 960 too and I only had issues when I wanted to see what would happen if I turned the Render Scale up to 200%. My frame rate tanked to 22. But 100% still looks great and with everything else set to the highest, my frames average around 66

                                  Most YouTubers are also bought and paid for now, so I don't see too much difference. Publishers like to market games through them because they seem more genuine, but they're still taking stuff (money/games/trinkets) in exchange for coverage.

                                          To be fair, when that video series came out it seemed like a lot of people were pleasantly surprised it came from GameSpot, but many of them still credited the creator above GameSpot since he's a freelancer (or something?).

                                          This isn't the standard anywhere in video game journalism, but I still think GameSpot deserves props for being part of making it happen.

                                          I signed up for GameSpot again hoping they would continue that level of quality. We shall see.

                                          It was done by their internal video team, so they deserve 100% of the credit.

                                          I think the issue is that in-depth coverage like that series doesn't pay the bills. It takes a lot of time, money, and manpower to produce something of that standard - and it likely won't see nearly as many views as a simple gameplay demonstration with sharp SEO. So to produce the good stuff, Gamespot also has to output a lot of low-effort content to bring in ad revenue.

                                                    There is absolutely no need for it to be titled "Gameplay" because it's the same damn game, just on different consoles. If the PC's graphics weren't purposely lowered to make PS4 look like the better choice, then the video would be pointless and wouldn't have been getting as much attention as it has been.

                                                    eg Widowmaker is by far the most OP character on PC, but isn't that good on consoles.

                                                    Widowmaker can never be balanced on both platforms at the same time because of the difficulty of aiming with a stick if she is exactly the same on all platforms.

                                                      Widowmaker is a SEMI-AUTOMATIC AWP. She doesn't have to let go of her scope, she can shoot faster than the AWP and if your headshot isn't enough to kill someone, the bodyshot following 0.3 seconds after definitly is. It's insane.

                                                      This is my main problem, full bodyshot+non-charged bodyshots kills literally half of the heroes in the game. (the combo does 220 dmg IIRC) it's just stupid. You don't need to be a good sniper, you just need to do what every other character does, at a distance, with occasional wallhack.

                                                      It's not even a 'noob only' case, bodyshots are very often used in competitive to damage targets too, which is just sad.

                                                          I am an absolutely god-awful sniper in most games, but even I can do well with Widowmaker. She is high-reward, but also low-risk. Unless a Winston jumps in your face or a Tracer charges you down, the only immedeate threat to you is another Widowmaker. Couple that with OW's generous hitboxes and her insanely fast charge time and you got a pretty ludicrious character on your hand.

Even more problematic is that her level indicates literally NOTHING about her skill. You can be walking in and suddenly get destroyed by a level 4 while your lvl 80 widow is getting manhandled by the bitch. Out of all the heroes her power disparity between being skilled and unskilled is literally outrageous.

                                                                A good widow fucks you up so bad. I like pharrah and if I feel like if the widow can't be dealth with and she keeps sniping me like it's nothing I simply have to switch character because it's impossible to fly around because she kills you everytime. I think mccree is broken as well, he's got no trouble to kill two squishies or one tank with the stun, fan the hammer, roll, fan the hammer combo and it's a bit tiresome to play against at this point. I think widow should have to scope out between shots and basically work like the tf2 sniper whom has to wait a few seconds while scoped to get more damage. McCree should probably have his damage reduced or have the stun made so you just get blinded briefly (like a flash in cs) or make it so you can shoot/use damage abilities but can't move for a brief second

                                                                See, I can deal with a character like widow who is really powerful at long range. Most characters in this game have their niche where they are ridiculous. A really well played character even more so.

                                                                But even against someone that is better than me with that character, in a twitch manner, I can usually out play them with tactics and character choice.

                                                                Not so with Widow. She has no hard counter like other characters. If someone is better than me with Widow, there is nothing I can do. When I do get in close to her, she's going to shred me with her powerful close combat gun. It doesn't make any sense for her to have that. I just don't get it from a design perspective.

He was trying to point out features that were ONLY available on Xbox and voice functionality isn't a new concept in technology.                                                                                             Graphics and gameplay argument aside, gamestop is still trying to be misleading in the video to show PS4 as a better version.

                                                                                            On the graphics front, yes the PC settings are turned way the hell down for some reason so it looks obviously worse.

                                                                                            As for gameplay, for starters why do they need to show the character select screen? To me it's an easy graphics comparison and I assumed that's what they are going for, to anyone wanting to buy the game and see gameplay this is entirely unnecessary.

                                                                                            Speaking for the gameplay itself, in most cases the PC player seems to be quite a bit worse at playing the game. Hanzo and Junkrat are both played with shitty reaction time and in less intense fights compared to the PS4 version as an example.

                                                                                                          Check in the graphics settings under advanced. There should be an option that is a percentage(can't remember what it is, sorry). Make sure that it's set to 100% and not like 150%.

I just couldn't imagine Widow on controller, but most of the other classes wouldn't be too bad. I'd probably play primarily as Lucio if I was on console!

                                                                                                            Oh dude you'll be super fine. It runs and looks surprisingly good on console! Blizzard does an amazing job optimizing their games. I have many friends who play on PS4 (ex bawks runs basically the same) and it looks and plays amazingly. They did compensate a bit for controller in those versions--specifically, turrets like symmetra's do slightly less damage so you have a little time to turn around and smash em up.

                                                                                                            All in all, it's a great console game, to be honest. I know this place likes to hate, but it's not bad by any means.

I have jittery sniper hands, so it's pretty much impossible for me to play as Widow, and Tracer is hard too. But I'm getting better at Hanzo, and everyone else I would say is handled well. (Still working on my McCree game, too.)

                                                                                                            Pfff tracer is super hard for me on mouse and keyboard, so you're not alone! McCree is also difficult for me; props to you if you do well on a controller, for real. If you put me vs you on controller, I can guarantee you'd dominate me! I have friends with absolutely insane thumbs, and it's always cool to see someone who knows their way around a controller.

When it's set to 100% my FPS is shit but it looks better. So I use 75% and I can average around 50-60 FPS... still blurry but not too bad. I can easily get 60+ FPS if I use 50% but dear god it's so ugly. This is the struggle of playing on my laptop :( Won't be able to afford a new pc anytime soon.
