Shit like this is also why I switched to DuckDuckGo for searches. If I want more accurate and useful search results for various problems it's preferable to be using a search engine that doesn't tailor search results to the user.

Searx is a better option. Duckduckgo has questionable origins with its CEO among other things that are disconcerting

Worth a lookie loo if you want true privacy

Going from (((google))) to (((duckduckgo))) doesn't seem that much of a move.

They're just copying Mark "they trust me, dumb fucks" Zuck's tactics, ten years too late.

Rule 7 seems nefarious as well. They're going to lessen the amount of comments displayed (not to everyone, of course...not until they collect data on how successful it is), which means less room for any badthink to accidentally show up on the first page of comments before the mods have a chance to delete it.

Also would require the user to allow javascript in order to view more comments (the "load more comments" tag). Which leads back to how their new link-jacking and click-monitoring mechanisms work - requires javascript.
