I think men have this idea that is similar to a woman's, in that women have this underlying assumption that all men are there to protect and provide for them, whereas by contrast men have this underlying assumption that all women are there to nurture them and care for them. If these assumptions were ever the case It would seem that the latter has been slowly dissipating over the last 30 years or so and the former is just beginning to dissipate now.
