over the years i've noticed certain players who seem to get the "scapegoat" defense when they are criticized on this sub. this year it was primarily fellaini. over the years, it has been players like evans, cleverly, and john o'shea. the argument usually goes something like this:

person a: fuck fellaini, what a useless tool
person b: this subreddit always uses fellaini as a scapegoat, what about blind/depay/mata/lingaard the last few weeks

so my question to you is, WHY do you think a player like fellaini is used as this 'scapegoat'. it's not like the subreddit holds a secret meeting to decide who to unfairly blame. and similarly, why are players like blind or depay immune to similar bashings?
