Silly season has returned for the 4th summer on /r/reddevils!

Most of you know the drill.

For those who don't...From today until the window closes, a transfer round-up & discussion thread will be made every day. In these threads, ANYTHING can be talked about. Any player, in or out, any transfer fee, anything!

Now, with these threads starting, this means that rumours submitted as separate posts will be removed unless they are from reliable sources!

Wasn’t much news yesterday other than Sky reporting that Ryan Giggs is leaving so no point summarising it.

David De Gea affirms that he will be staying at Man Utd for the foreseeable future according to quotes obtained by Marca.

The Sun claim that we have made a £60m bid for Paul Pogba, but let's be honest, it's the Sun. The Independent also reporting this, but they state the Sun is their source.

Le 10 Sport claim that we have enquired about Laurent Koscielny. However, this enquiry was laughed off by both club and player.

The Metro say we are interested in bringing Miralem Pjanic to Old Trafford. Manchester Evening News corroborates this and adds that we are looking to sign a right midfielder, a centre forward, a central midfielder and a centre-back.

The Daily Mail report that we are plotting a move for £20m rated Bordeaux wonderkid Adam Ounas, corroborating claims by the Mirror 2 days ago. This is partly due to the fact we were not able to sign Ousmane Dembele, who ended up going to Dortmund.

Not strictly transfer news but FootyHeadlines have leaked our home kit for next year.

Sky Sports seem to be convinced we are signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic. 1 year deal to be completed before the Euros start. Di Marzio also corroborates.

In an earlier report, they also claimed we turned down Leicester's Jamie Vardy as Jose only wants to sign one striker so as not to hinder the development of Rashford.

In a slightly dubious report, the Daily Mail believe we have made two approaches in the last 3 weeks to sign Lionel Messi. Great dribbler, incredible pace, very small stature, poor decision making, seems to have serious attitude issues with authority and makes it public on social media. Young, so his flaws may be fixable....maybe.

I'd like Mhki, but not signing a winger and instead breaking the bank on a quality CB and CM coupled with experimenting with Memphis/Pereira/Lingard out wide right would be better IMO.

DiMarzio claims Simeone turned down PSG's offer to repace Blanc, so I think that ends our chances of prizing Griezmann away. And if you believe Sky's info about Vardy, Mourinho doesn't want another striker ahead of Rashford, so that means Gameiro is unlikely too.
