In the Novels, Dandelion has an affair with her while the Duke of Toussaint (Her husband) is alive, none of this is seen in the books and Dandelion had to flee Toussaint for fear of being killed by the duke, but when Geralt, Dandelion and Regis (as well as a few others that are not in the games) go to Toussaint during The Tower of the Swallow, Milton tells Dandelion that the Duke died some years ago, to which dandelion is relieved and returns to the duchess. Then towards the end of the novel, it is revealed that Dandelion slept with one of her maids or something and had to flee again.

I was furious angry when she got attacked, so much so i blew the quest the first time through just running the first guy through without a second thought. Which is what the devs intended.

Yup, their opposing personalities actually play off each other very well in the quests where they're working together. Obviously, book Geralt would scoff at the very idea of it, but I'm not so sure she would be a bad fit for game Geralt.
