Move to Sweden or Venezuela, commie.

It might be hell, but i am used to it.

I would freeze to death in heaven.

You realise neither of those nations are communist, right? They're not even socialist for that matter.

Oh, changing the subject. Never would have expected that from the honest and deeply intellectual internet marxists.

No place is perfect. But if he isn't trying to move to the place that is the best according to his beliefs, then I don't believe him. Actions speak louder than words.

It's interesting all the assumptions you're making, right or wrong.

Marxist

Having a keycap of, or even assuming further and stating they believed in Lenin's leadership, does not make anyone a Marxist, just because Lenin was one ideologically.

He

Never established in this thread

move to the place that is the best according to his beliefs

Where does OP live?

Also. The subject wasn't changed. You mentioned two countries and implied they were communist countries. The person then replied to you to state that they do not agree that those countries are communist countries. They replied directly to the words you said.

I couldn't care less about the debate since OP just posted a keycap in a subreddit about keyboards, but it seems you aren't even trying to be part of the debate you started.

I don't know what world you are living in where directly replying to a comment is changing the subject lol.

If you were going to tell OP to move to a communist state (which makes no sense) at least pick one that is officially socialist. China, Cuba, and Vietnam, for example. You inferring that Sweden and Venezuela are communist just shows how little you know about socialism. At the very least read the wiki page on it before you comment on it mate.

China, Cuba, and Vietnam

Socialist

Revisionist, yes, but officially socialist at least.

uh huh, but if someone says "Socialism doesn't work" you'll bring up these countries in a heartbeat

No, I won't, because they aren't socialist.

I don't know much about Sweden, but Venezuela is definitely socialist. Workers own the means of production and the government set market prices.

While I agree that Venezuela is closer to socialism than most other nations, I disagree with the statement that they are fully socialist. The problem I have with calling Venezuela socialist is Chavez's constitutional changes, that, among other things, enshrined the right to private property (not to be confused with personal property) for the nation. I am not educated enough to comment on the workers position at the moment, but taking into consideration the private property rights and foreign corporations in Venezuela, I am hesitant to call them socialist.

As for Sweden, they are not at all socialist. Workers do not control the means of production, there is exploitation, private property, and, as a remnant of its feudal past, a monarchy.

They are Socialist nations.

ETA: More downvotes? How can you argue that this is incorrect? Certainly, neither country is further right on the economic spectrum than socialism.

Sweden is not a socialist nation, we are more to the left then many other. But not socialist.

No, you don't get it. When someone says "socialism doesn't work in practice", then Sweden and Norway become shining examples of successful socialism. When people die waiting for health care, or wait 20 year to get a rental apartment, then Sweden suddenly is Not True Socialism ©

Hit the nail on the head. Here's what's wrong with socialism.

lol you've got to be shitting me.

I stopped watching at 3 minutes when he said poor people choose to be poor - that was rich.

This guy either

1) Is strawmaning/misrepresenting socialism intentionally

or

2) Has no idea what socialism is.

I honestly can't tell. Also, no. Norway and Sweden are not socialist nations.

I am calling him a commie.
