Silly season has returned for the 4th summer on /r/reddevils!

Most of you know the drill.

For those who don't...From today until the window closes, a transfer round-up & discussion thread will be made every day. In these threads, ANYTHING can be talked about. Any player, in or out, any transfer fee, anything!

Now, with these threads starting, this means that rumours submitted as seperate posts will be removed unless they are from reliable sources!

Took it upon myself to do a roundup of the past day's transfer news. Can't commit to this being here every day but I'll do my best - as a bonus I've done yesterday's main news stories as well.

Cadena COPE, a Spanish radio station released a lot of news regarding Real Madrid.

In summary:

  • They have not forgotten about the De Gea saga and will be back in for him this summer.

  • Madrid do not want Monchi as a sporting director, and Mourinho does not want him at Man Utd.

  • James Rodriguez wants to leave, but Madrid are averse to the idea and will demand upwards of €80m euros.

Sport in Spain suggest that Barcelona are interested in Daley Blind for €18m euros

Sevilla release a statement that Monchi is set to stay on as their sporting director; however, another source states that this only inserts a €5m buy out clause. Same source also claims that United are interested and already has an agreement in place.

A Bola say that Jose Mourinho said that he will not be signing any players from the Portuguese league.

Sky Sports report that Blind and Mata are not in Mourinho’s plans and could both leave in the window if there is sufficient interest.

Sky Sports reports that Manchester United have no plans to appoint a sporting director to work alongside Jose Mourinho and Ed Woodward

Zlatan Ibrahimovic rules out a return to Malmo, but also tells reporters:

"I want you to still write a lot of stories, so I get excited when I see them, because I want to see who is making up the best story.”

  • Marquinhos’s preferred destination is Barcelona

The Mirror claim that Manchester United have made contact with 19-year-old attacking midfielder Adam Ounas of Bordeaux

Di Marzio claims that United have enquired about Henrikh Mkhitaryan's situation at Dortmund

James Ducker for the Telegraph states that Ryan Giggs is on the brink of quitting. This is backed up by many sources

EL LARGUERO - Real Madrid has informed Keylor Navas that they will not be making any transfers in his GK position this summer.

The wonderful thing with Mourinho is that he's brought a sense of hope with him, I thought at this time last year "We'll be linked to X,Y and Z and get none of them" - whereas I properly believe we can attract the likes of Zlatan and James with Mou at the helm.

In my opinion, Valencia still isn't a proper right back despite his good performances towards the end of the season... Feel like we do need one

Wish we could've gotten Alves on a short deal. Would've given us a chance to see if Darmian is as good as he's shown he can be or if he'll never be able to properly make that next step. Either way between him and Valencia it won't be a glaring hole.

    If Barcelona actually want Blind then we shouldn't get rid of him. I don't want him to leave but if they think he is good enough to buy him then he must be good enough for us.
