[Shitpost?] Fellow UCLA Reddevils (self.reddevils)

Hey guys long time subscriber of the sub. I'm attending UCLA right and I see many fellow United fans on campus, as you may know there is a shooting going on right now and I wanted to know if there are any other reddevils subscribers that go to UCLA? And if so are you safe?

edit: 2 confirmed dead.

rumor 1: (From Friends): 1 of the victims is the shooter and they left a suicide note.

rumor 2 (From friends): 3 shooters, 2 dead, 7 shot. One is currently in a library (YRL), one at the dorms and another one near levering (which is a block from my apt).

edit 2: Campus is completely safe now. Its a case of murder suicide. The rumors of multiple shooters is false.

We got a bit more scared when we got the rumors that a shooter was in Levering Ave, which is a block away from my apartment but it turned out to be false. LAPD says the scence is "contained," no continuing threat to UCLA campus.

One of my friends texted me that she heard that there was a shooter on Levering which is close to Landfair where I live. Was shitting bricks too when I got the text.

This is unreal. Sickening. Heartbreaking. I have friends and family that attend UCLA and many colleagues that work at UCLA medical center. Everyone I personally know is safe but there are two dead (as of now) and thousands who have their peace of mind destroyed. This is a very sick scene. Reports of as many as 4 shooters spread out throughout the campus who now have nothing to lose and obviously hold human life as something of no value. I am miles and miles away and still shaken. I can't even begin to imagine what those closer to the situation are feeling.

EDIT: I guess the reports of 3-4 shooters was false? Police chief is now stating that it was a murder-suicide with only 1 shooter involved who is now deceased and the situation is now "contained".

Bruin here. It's been a crazy morning. Luckily I've been in my apartment all day. Mass panic with everyone saying there are multiple shooters, that the shooters are all over campus and the surrounding dorms/apartments. Just happy it's been contained.

Ohh damn! I was supposed to have work today at 10, I was just about to head out when I got the bruin alert. Called the office and they seemed to be handling the closing of the student union which is where I work. Called the office and they were too busy to answer whether I should come in or not so I guess I got the day off. Shame that it happened under these events though.
