I learned a-lot from pops through his action. He traded us (his three children) out for a woman and her family. We did not like this woman. She is the ultimate example of a red flag. Controlling, abusive, could care less about his children (us, three of us), and all the other good stuff you can expect.

She abused him in an argument and tried to call the police on him (they arrested her instead), threw him and brother out of the house, ruined countless childhood pictures by leaving them out in the rain for him to pick up, forced him into taking legal action to get back his stuff (the pattern of luckiness in his favor is unreal), and they stole from my brother (they have YET to make amends for that). After all that crap you'd think he'd get the hint right? Nope, he ends up back with her despite our obvious disgust. He then knocks her up (game over already), and they get married (for the love of...) the end.

There was no more personal time with him. His wife always had to go, always. They would also bring the baby as well, so you know what? Someone doesn't get to go (assuming when they came by we'd even get to do anything, AND assuming one of her other children tagged along).

Graduation from highschool comes around the corner and I get four tickets. Who did I invite? Mom, Stepfather (awesome guy btw), brother, and dad. Guess who he brings anyway? Yep, the wife. By some unreal chance they found someone with a spare ticket so she gets to tag along.

There was nothing I could do that didn't involve bringing her around. He is a slave to her and her children. It makes me feel sick still thinking about it. A year later we are set to move to another state nearby and his last visit to us is all weepy and about how he won't get to see us as much (like he took advantage of what time we had left). Our relationship with him has hit rock bottom. I don't even talk to him anymore nor do I really care.

I have seen firsthand the kind of jail cell waiting for us all if we don't keep our guard up. TL;DR: Father is a fool that fell into the claws of a horrible succubus.
