I'm black and I distinguish people by using the color of their skin or ethnicity because its sometimes the fastest way to refer to someone, not racist at all. But it could also be used in a racist way but it didnt seem like they did in the video. The black mail lady was freaking out over nothing and the wife didnt make the situation any better.

Lets say she is overreacting. How should the homeowners react at that point?

If someone took offense at something I said I would apologize anyway. Maybe explain I didn't mean it the way they took it. What's wrong with that?
