Victor Valdes and Mourinho? (self.reddevils)

So I don't believe Victor Valdes' contract is up just yet, there's still a short period of time for one to be signed. It seems the only real reason he was frozen out of United was because he fell out with Van Gaal, any chance we might see Mourinho keep him on as his sub keeper?

His contract runs out sometime in June I think. No point holding on to him to be honest. I'd rather keep Romero even though he might not be as good.

I'm open to correction about that, but I don't think contracts usually expire until the end of June, and can't find anything solid about him finding a new club.

Contract was up at the end of the season I believe, signed on a 18 month /2 year contract

Right, but I'm pretty sure most contracts expire in June, it's not like it would have been up the day after the FA Cup final.

Yeah but there's no difference between now and a months time is there? He can still freely negotiate with us and other clubs at both times.

Well technically not I suppose, but I don't think I've ever heard of a player letting their contract expire only to sign a new one at the same club. I imagine it could potentially cause complications with agents' fees and signing on fees, that type of thing.
