[meta] Why does pebble keeps using kickstarter? (self.shittykickstarters)

So today I found out that pebble is still around and still running ks projects.........why? its already an established brand, if crowdfunding/pre-sale is what they want why not run it in their own site instead? besides given the increasing number of failures at ks is not like being in ks is helping pebble, more like the other way around

And besides is not like ks is, peeble is giving them 10% of the funds in fees.

.............unless its the other way around and ks is paying pebble so they will run another project since pebble is one of the few big success stories from ks that actually did ship, unlike the cooler or arist among many others seen in this sub.
