Patrick Dempsey, of Grey's Anatomy fame, is forced to 'sacrifice' his passion in order to reconcile with his 'make-up artist' ex-wife, who filed for divorce back in January 2015.

‘Yeah, I think so. You have to work at everything. And you cannot do everything. Something has to be sacrificed.’

She's a make-up artist with decent looks for a post-wall woman. He's an accomplished actor, accomplished race car driver, and a successful business owner:

The actor appeared to be referring to his passion for motorsports. He owns his own racing team, which finished second at the famous Le Mans 24-hour race last June

'Last year we had a good team, and a good car, it was the right moment... where I could focus 100 per cent on doing a full season.

The only redeeming point made was that Dempsey wants to be a more active father figure in his kids' lives, which is commendable. Beyond that, this is bullshit as usual, with classic pushing of the 'provider' archetype without reciprocity from the woman who literally brings looks and a womb to the table, and nothing else.

Lesson: As usual, men are required to 'man up' and make 'sacrifices' in order to demonstrate commitment to a relationship, despite bringing the majority or entirety of the social and fiscal value to the equation. Don't buy into this bullshit. Focus on your business, your passion, your hobby, and never sacrifice your personal goals or passions to satisfy the attention of a woman.
