I know being a mod can be a challenge. I am a mod on a different site and we get all kinds. I get it. But being transparent and upfront goes a long way towards people supporting a decision or leaving. I have never had issues with the mods at MAM but I have an issue with the way with this was handled. We are not an unintelligent group and are more understanding than I think we are being given credit for. If there are reasons for the changes that can't be discussed, for legal reasons for example, then just say that. Good enough. I'd move to another sub no problem. It was like pulling teeth getting answers to why things were suddenly changing. Because this is the way it is is not a respectful answer to a group of people who have built a community that started out by watching a Documentary and evolved into talking about deeper issues.

Most people there were great. Blaming us for some looney showing up at Avery's at Christmas was unfair. He is not part of this community on a regular basis. In fact what he was doing his thing most people here thought he was way over the line and said so. He is a grown ass man and is responsible for himself.

The issues that needed to be addressed should have been addressed early in the process and perhaps we would not be a splintered group right now. People that attacked innocent people should have been banned. Period. Nobody likes to see a community split apart, but water under the bridge now. I have chocolate and life is good!
