If Platinum ever made a He-Man or Gi Joe game, then my childhood would be complete.
A real shame :(
Yeah, Transformers was great, I just hope that if their relationship with Activision continues, they get more time and a better budget for these things.Just watched this, so disappointing. I generally adore Platinum games and after Transformers, I was so hyped for TMNT.

I get the feeling that Activision strangled them with the purse strings to get this out in time for the film.
Again, unacceptable. This is total horse shit.
Send your ire to Activision. It's pretty clear they control what they want from these games.Originally Posted by brandonh83
This is unacceptable to the point where I feel like writing a letter or something to Activision/Platinum. A Ninja Turtles game from Platinum should not be... this. I realize it's low budget or whatever sorta like Transformers, but Transformers wasn't nearly this bad. They both suffer from a general lack of content and super repetitive environments. On top of this they're charging $50 for it out of the gate.

Sounds like a lot of assumptions and reaches to make just to defend a developer making a mediocre game.Originally Posted by NinjaCoachZ
Man, it's a shame Platinum is going to get the blame for this and not Activision, since I'm pretty sure it was them who commissioned the project and gave it the deadline by the time the movie came out. I get the feeling they had freedom with Transformers which is why that one actually turned out to be good, unlike this and Korra.
Platinum took the job probably knowing things like budget and time frame in advance.
Put the cape down and just realize this is who Platinum is.
Their fanbase who keeps treating them as miracle workers who can do anything doesn't help this.Originally Posted by NinjaCoachZ

the thing about transformers is that it wasn't being rush to tie in with a movie, so they could probably weasel away a bit more timeOriginally Posted by brandonh83

After seeing that one boss fight youtube in another thread. It looked boring and tedious. That doesn't sit well in my stomach.
Would've much, much rather had some Decepticon expansion DLC.
Yikes.
I know you said sarcasm, but, honestly I only ever hear this on GAF.Originally Posted by Ultimadrago

If we get someone to unlock it sure.Originally Posted by JustSomeone

looks they cant make "every game" like their rabid fanbase likes to suggest
The bolded part is important. And especially with it being their third Activision release. Platinum knows what's up.Originally Posted by Ninja Scooter

People get too defensive about it. They need to make money somewhere, and jobs like this are probably pretty good for them.
Scalebound should be good though.
Roger that, they're the ones providing it and the budget. I know Platinum can make great games.Send your ire to Activision. It's pretty clear they control what they want from these games.
Perhaps this has something to do with it, but it's completely unrelated to the new movie and while maybe Transformers wasn't "rushed," it was still also pretty lacking. I know the general consensus seems to be positive, but for me it was a pretty short one-off game with boring level design.the thing about transformers is that it wasn't being rush to tie in with a movie, so they could probably weasel away a bit more time
There's much more to it than your comment suggests.Originally Posted by PeregrinSe7en
