Job security is a silly concept because your job isn't yours, it belongs to the company. You work at will and should live accordingly by saving money and maintaining current skills and certifications. As a consequence of being a free market society, you can either submit yo trading your time and skills for money from someone or use said resources to work for yourself and employ others. As such, the employer has the right to fire you when you prove inefficient or irrelevant by business demands or technological improvement.

So I flatly disagree and find fault with the concept of job security. It's why people unionize and sit for 30 years in government positions and are ineffective at serving tax payers. Job security is why people play on Facebook 7 hours a day and have lunch for an hour and then are surprised when they are downsized.
