Give me a break. The Shuttle-derived launch vehicle / Constellation / SLS has been promising a launch in a few years for 20 years. It's been delayed far, far more than once. Renaming it doesn't mean the delays never happened.

You are aware that much more changed than "renaming" it? SLS is the newest iteration of NASA's heavy launch vehicle, but it's remained fairly on schedule and is currently further along than Ares V ever was.

Propellant's like 200k of the tens of millions it takes to build and launch a rocket, using a few tons more than an ASDS landing is absolutely trivial when it results in higher success rates for landing and faster recovery.
