You act like clubs are the only social outing available to someone.

I said nothing at all that implied that.

I met my wife when I was 19 and got married at 22. So from that perspective, I was only legal to go to a club for one year before I got married anyway.

Married people go out to clubs all the time, often with other married couples.

I can't imagine why you think it's a bad thing to choose not to go to clubs.

Not doing an incredibly common adult activity even once is bad. It's like people who refuse to even try a common delicious food. They insist they don't like it, but don't even have the courage to try it.

I prefer to go to places that I can laugh and have a good time with my friends

That is why most people go to clubs.

Well, it's true I'm not the most outgoing person so my case may not be the exact same as with the guy you were originally replying to, but like I said I keep a pretty small circle of friends and most of these we share common interests (like no want at all to go to clubs) so if there's an event like this where I get invited it'll probably be a house party or sit-down bar. I really can't remember if it ever happened that someone in my friends actively wanted to go clubbing.

Maybe my girlfriend gets invited more but she truly despises these places AFAIK so I don't even have to say shit and she'll usually turn it down.

Also it just occurred to me: do you group all bars as clubs? Because I sometimes go to music venues, I sometimes go to pubs or pool bars and stuff like that, what I don't go to is really night clubs / dance clubs. As in the loud, crowded, sweaty, 10$-a-drink , EDM through the roof places. And I know a lot of people who never go to clubs like this so it's really weird to me that you find this so weird.

Anyway, glad you seem to have let down the trolling a bit there, you were definitely sounding like you wanted to be an ass in most other comments.

These things can't really be proven to be correct or not. I do believe that what I suggest is more of a "best practice" given your alternative. Trying things vs not trying things. Seems simple to me.
