Where should Memphis play? (self.reddevils)

With Luke shaw coming back next season it would be nice to see the continuation of the Shaw/Memhpis partnership on the LW. However, Martial has been outstanding on the left and I wouldn't move him at all. So where do you see Memhpis fitting into the team?

He should play on the right wing. Not sure if as a starter or not, but he needs to use his pace and skills to send crosses in instead of cutting inside every time where we already have players taking up positions.

Hmmm that could work. Although I have a sneaking suspicion IF we sign Zlatan we will play with Martial LW, Zlatan up front and Rashford RW

Rashford will probably not play all the league games and will be given cup games. Sort of how Harry Kane was developed. I feel Rashford is a proper striker and should not be played RW just for the sake of playing time.

If Zlatan gets signed I can see that, but I don't think there's anything behind that besides selling papers and page clicks.

I also think Martial will get played up top as a 9 a lot more than this season, which should greatly help his goal tally.

I think this is the right call, atleast give him games on the right to see if it’s working.

Memphis can cross very well, and Zlatan can finish the ball very well.

I think the only way we see Martial and Memphis play together is in a 442 with Memphis on the left and Martial up top. Honestly wouldn't mind us doing this with possibly Rooney and Schneiderlin playing CM and someone else on the right

He is best suited to play on the wing, but this question is more based off what formation we'll be running. I think he would be wonderfully suited to be a winger in a 4-3-3. Wouldn't mind seeing him play a bit of CF/CAM as well.

Depends what happens in the transfer window with Mata or other signings. He could play at CAM or RW. For all we know, Mourinho could buy a true right winger and have Memphis as a super-sub.

We never know what Mourinho is gonna do. He could completely change our formation or even sell Memphis. I would prefer to see him on one of the wings with his pace and skill but Martial clearly earned his spot on LW and Rashford needs to stay upfront as well. I think Mourinho is gonna completely shake up the team with transfers and trying new things so nothing is off the table

Rashford is 18, meaning its not like he has to be played every game in the middle. May be Martial can play as 9 and Memphis can slot in the wing

As a winger in the Under 21s. Work hard, get some games in the cups and as a sub to make an impression and then we'll see
