Everyone is finally in a good place now after a forgetful year of football. We finished the year on a high winning the FA cup and now everyone is excited about Mourinho and what he's going to bring to Man United.

All of us know that we should have signed a CB last transfer season but we didn't and gave Blind the CB role which he performed amazingly in for a midfield player. Him and Smalling were exceptional this year barring a few performances and that is reflected with our defensive record this season. With Mourinho incoming, I am pretty sure that we will sign a proper CB this season.

I've seen a few predicted team lineups on this sub and other sport websites, and almost all of them ignore the fact that we still have Daley Blind. Yes he isn't a CB, but he is still a midfield player. In almost every match I've seen this year, I've noticed Blind's amazing long balls and ball distribution. We've seen how he makes runs through the middle and sometimes creates goals and he even scored an excellent goal. I feel he could be a wonderful midfield player for us and should not be overlooked or just ignored.

Does this sub feel that Blind is good enough to start for us in a midfield role or he would just become another squad player or be sold. In my opinion, if Blind could play as a CB in an organized defense this year, I feel he could yet develop into an excellent midfield prospect for us because he does what is needed for the team.
