Wii U

You know games like Call of Duty, Madden, Gears of War.... I'd much rather play a Nintendo classic like Ocarina of Time, Donkey Kong Country, or even Pikmin.

Can someone explain to me why they're so popular and mainstream while Nintendo games are considered "kiddy" and dumb?

Because they are fun games? Also the "Kiddy" notion is more a thing people do to bulls*** insults and troll, much like calling games dudebro games

All the JRPG fans use it too... Especially when games like Witcher 3 and Dragon Age outsell their lolli games.

Oh my gosh what a troll. CoD has never been less popular than now. Here are the top games from April.

OK, The Division and Cod BO 3 might fit. Maybe Quantum break. That's at most a third of the list. The Wii U not getting games like Dark Souls 3 is far sadder than not being able to play 20 year old games (OoT) over and over and over in new remakes.

Nintendo games are seen as kiddie because

1: Well.. look at what's coming out

2: The majority of the more mature or older rated games end up getting censored some how.


Also, CoD is kind of losing it, especially to games like Battlefield and such. But over all, it is more what the market is geared towards and with gamers being on average 31, more mature themes and/or more adult type things are wanted (ie. where your sports games come in).
