I hate to be that guy/girl, but has anyone seen any POC or Women in the new Total War Warhammer game?

I really, really love the series, and I'm aware that there hasn't been alot of diversity in the past games due to their settings (Except obviously Shogun 2 and a lot of factions in Rome/Medieval). I was hoping that with the new, Fantasy IP they'd be able to finally let lose....

Or does Warhammer look like 1st Century England? (If this sounds ignorant, I'm sorry. I'm more of a Warcraft player and I know very little about Warhammer)

war hammer fantasy is heavily based in European culture and countries. for example the empire is based of German culture and bretonnia being french and English. i do not think i have ever seen a POC in art for war hammer fantasy or 40K .

there are a few female legendary lords that are women (most notable for bretonnia and the vampires) but they have not been added yet

the only faction that is not European that includes POC's is called Araby (based of eastern mythology and lore) but its mega minor in the lore and probably will never bee added. :(

EDIT:and the most we will see women in the game is proberly elves i think as they mainly have female leaders and units (i think ).

doom might realitiscally be an 8 out of 10 but for me personally it gets a boatload of points for just how refreshing the frantic, no cover, duck and weave action is. and it has a health bar. i like the snarky story, and the overly aggressive marine. could have been some more ridiculous weapons but overall was exactly what i was hoping for. i played their new wolfenstein recently and was quite pleased so i was expecting a lot and i feel like they delievered

Damn, 3 good games all at once. Total War in particular is probably the best of the entire series.

I don't see what the fuck the circlejerk was about DOOM's writing. It's a giant ball of FPS space marine tropes. Great game, but the writing? It's just a friggin DOOM game, they all have the same plot.

I haven't seen any circlejerk over the story beyond the fact that really, there's no story, and that's the point of DOOM. Demons from hell have invaded, kill them all. However, I think a lot of people have enjoyed the fact that there's a AAA mindless shooter, which there hasn't been for a long time.

Eh, I didn't see it above the 180 degree spin that would make The Exorcist proud. But I will say that watching a streamer on Twitch made me realize just how the mind of the circlejerker goes. Every time he liked something, he praised iD, and every time he had a problem/bug, he blamed it on Bethesda. It was magical, and by magical, I mean cringeworthy as fuck

dude they did a GREAT job making a spoof of that plot and any plot like it. the evil corporation scientist doing the whole weaponizing / using a resource that is BLATANTLY a bad idea plot is so overused in games and movies and they took it to the ultimate level of absurdity where they were legit trying to WEAPONIZE DEMONS . anyone who thinks the story is anything other than the only thing it could be had it go flying way over their heads

Total War: Warhammer is the best total war game since Shogun 2. Battles are a great mix of challenging and pure fun. I spent my entire Empire Campaign on the defensive from endless Vampire Undead armies and greenskin hordes. AI is also a huge improvement over previous installments and will actually pose a challenge for you. Hereos are great additions that add a lot of RPG potential and replayability. Factions are also drastically different from each other. Chaos is completely nomadic while the Empire is very similar to the normal Total War gameplay with some cool confederation mechanics for instance. Overall I think CA really outdid themselves with the game. Definitely lived up to the hype.

will someone as lame as me who usually only plays rts's with base building enjoy this. it has picqued my interest and i have never played any total war games but i fucking love the warhammer world.

It is pretty different from base building RTS (I guess you mean stuff like AoE/WC/SC). You plan your armies, cities etc. in a turn-based environment. Once a battle starts, you have to cope with the troops you start the battle with. That said, it can be loads of fun, just don't expect something like AoE/WC/SC.

Can't say much about TW: Warhammer, but in previous TW games there wasn't much story. You start with some predefined enemies and allies and your winning conditions are something like "eliminate faction x, y, and z" or "conquer x% of the world".

The game isn't overly complicated so a newcomer to the total war series would understand it pretty quickly. It's a mixture of turnbased and realtime. There is campaign map which is turnbased where you build armies and move them and build up your cities. Then there it a real time battle mode where armies clash and the battles play out. If your a fan of strategy and love warhammer I would definitely recommend it.

I stayed up all night playing the game it was just so fun. I just can't stop playing it. ONTO MY CHAOS CAMPAIGN! BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!

Overwatch is fun. Just hit level 10. However once again no one seems to play the objective like any game ever. So I lose ~70% of my games! Oh well I just need more loot boxes, need dem skins

It isn't the best game ever but it's a good multiplayer game and it's definitely looking like it's worth the money so far

I noticed this in the beta. I gave up and just treated it like team deathmatch like the rest of my team during those types of matches. Rarely won, but at least it was a lot less frustrating.

Can't wait to skip prom to play overwatch in a month, going to do a 24 hour marathon then when my friends come back probably party for another day, gonna be a hell of a weekend
