Negative. I've seen the subreddit before the split/drama at 10-15k active, and nothing like this kind of upvoting pattern happened. I'm not imagining this. Go submit anything that's even unrelated to the campaign, or somewhat negative. It will all get mass upvoted (unless a mod removes it).

If you're looking for your upvotes to actually matter on a large subreddit, you're just going to be disappointed. That's why all of the defaults suck so much, there are 234 million users casting 25 million votes a day, any one person's votes mean absolutely nothing and there's a huge element of chance in what posts get more popular.

The subreddit gets 4 million pageviews a day, and that's not even including all the votes that come from the almost 150,000 subscribers' front pages or /r/all. There are probably 200 other people submitting the same thing as you, and if it was getting "anti-brigaded" wouldn't that mean your posts are doing better?

Yes it's fucking with the algos, and possibly triggering anti-upvote-brigade failsafes on all submissions. Did you investigate their new section like I suggested? Every submission vote score is almost perfectly correlated with how long it has been up.

You're right, I take back what I just said, there are posts with 32 upvotes in 6 minutes or 15 upvotes in 3 minutes. I wonder if people are just sitting in /new and upvoting / downvoting everything that gets posted, or if it's some sort of automated / bot type thing. A few of them got comments really quickly too and there are a lot of people viewing the subreddit right now (also a ton of posts), but comparing it to /new of other really popular subreddits (/r/pics, /r/aww, /r/askreddit) none of them consistently have that many upvotes on everything.

I'm bringing the unfairness and bias on the part of Reddit admins to people's attention here. Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought glaring admin bias would be of interest to a subreddit preoccupied with "drama."

Next time we discuss this kind of bullshit, people will continue to claim the admins are not playing ideological favorites with brigade rules, and here we have another very clear example to prove this claim to be bullshit.

In all honesty, everyone here understands that the admins are never going to deal with Reddit with anything that remotely resembles fairness. I lost my beloved FPH, for god's sake.

So, while admins not doing their job does pop up in here from time to time (mainly when we wonder how SRS still exists?), you're not going to find much in the way of rallying people to be upset on behalf of r/the_donald.

If it's not left-wing, the admins don't care. Simple as that. They haven't pretended otherwise for quite awhile now. As far as they're concerned, you should feel lucky they haven't just banned the sub entirely.

It's ridiculous, but it's how a site like this works when it's under the thumbs of SJW group think. It's been a long time since the admins last tried even to pay lip service to the notion of "open discussion" or "free speech." Even longer since they actually tried to encourage it.

The proof is in the fact that the admins tend to act hastily and punitively against any subreddits they dislike that get accused of brigading, but are doing nothing here, and will almost certainly continue to do nothing.

Like I said, it's the easiest thing for them to eliminate if they want. The mass upvoting user ring can easily be queried. But why would they do that?
