National players do get a match fee from the FA I believe, but we are talking approximately £1000 per game. They incentivize wins with bonuses, and I believe they also incentivize winning tournaments like the WC with a bonus structure of approximately £1,000,000 per player. All this is paid by the federation of that particular team.

Worth mentioning that the English national team players give their national wages to charity.

I think the FA would go bankrupt over Rooney's salary alone. Earns a fair penny

Of course the clubs pay their wages. They have a contract for set amount per annum. What do you think happens?

No, but the players get paid from their country if they play some number of matches in the qualifying group if the country reaches the Euro. Then they get paid if they are in the final squad.
