A bit of both. There is a lot of crossover, and it's mostly just bantz, but sometimes threads in SRD can get a bit too circlebroke for our tastes. Just check any thread about SJ issues, and there is bound to be asshats going off with half-baked interpretations of progressivism that is more befitting of the contrarianism of circlebroke.

Hell, check the thread in SRD right now about Adam Savage. While you will see people rightfully pointing out the bullshit about those dyed hair comments, alot of people are speculating about the makers of those comments being neckbeards, or "aggressively average." Essentially doing the same thing.

Or back when /u/snallygaster was accused of being a misogynistic dudebro for saying that there wasn't anything wrong with someone asking his wife for a BJ a month after giving birth. Even though she's a woman. Just shit like that.

SRD has an obnoxious subscriber base. Plus the mods have tons of stupid rules. Titles have to be "unbiased", you're not allowed to comment in linked threads, you can't username ping anyone, no "trolling", and more. Stupid rules and annoying users, basically.

SRD has sucked since a while after the LordGaGa days. Sometimes this sub sucks too, but at least most people here don't pretend this is a high quality endeavor.

I don't like SRD.

Used to blame the mods and, sure, some blame for letting it become CB 2.0 in the first place exists, but they do try.

However, fact is, the user base is still mostly CB and I have a very low tolerance for agenda pushing smug contrarianism.

In /r/drama I can just ping /u/JewDank and call her an ugly whore and all's good.

We have a lot of the same mods. The subs are similar except drama is a lot more casual, excepts real world/or other website drama, and the userbase is closer to the anti smugmeta cabal where as srd is pretty much in the smugmeta cabal. If you don't read the comment then other than occassional biased phrasing most of the posts would be the same.

SRD has way too many rules and the subscribers obviously have (the wrong) agenda. They're too leftist for my taste, I hate their comments sections even if they link good drama.

They watch popcorn from afar, we drag the popcorn machine kicking and screaming from the linked thread and have a popcorn eating orgy of username pings and dank memes
