I think so. Nothing that can't be remedied with money and Mendes, though

I'd be inclined to agree but it's also the case that hindsight changes things.

At the moment we consider our squad weak but in a few years people might look at our current squad and think "wow, Mourinho inherited an insane squad of players - Martial, Rashford, TFM, Memphis, De Gea, Smalling, Shaw etc."

I believe so, yes.

Definitely. And his first Chelsea team was arguably stronger IMO.

Sure, didn't want to take anything form them, maybe should've worded it better. I just wanted to exclude his previous work in Portugal for the sake of discussion

Definitely stronger. They had Makelele, Terry, Lampard, Joe Cole.

Inter possibly? Sure that was a old team

Zlatan back then alone made it stronger in ways. Milito. E'too.

Jose brought in Millito, Etoo and Sneijder. It wasn't a great team before he came.

I don't think we can really judge the team at the moment: many players are played out of their natural position, are heavily restricted by the tactics, and possibly unmotivated/mismanaged (especially if there is truth to those leaks).
We certainly don't have a brilliant squad, but some of the players might be able to do (much) better - then again, for some others it is certainly time to move on...

In his career, no. Recent times, yes.

We're a team of potential at the moment, not a team of champions. That's his job to change.

The title did say 'since his first CFC stint'
