That's because we have only subjective morality now. Objectively, according to Christian values, killing people is worse. In the modern subjective, progressive morality they're driving into everyone, things are only "bad" if they're non-progressive, which what is okay or not is a set of moving goalposts every day. There's no concrete truths anymore, only whimsical moral high grounds.
