        I am more thinking back to my wasted youth in asian net cafes. Back in the day in Vancouver there was a glorious place with a full lan with all Gaben's gifts and a kiosk to get fountain drinks and burgers/corndogs.         It's more of a logical fellowship, to me...say like the Brotherhood of Steel(or that cheeky Enclave). Even if this group does get a cult stigma, who's to say that xbox, nintendo, or playstation fanboys don't have their own cult like following and/or subreddit? But what puts us apart them, is our intelligence.

        Intellectual prowess, as I have seen, is bad for a cult, as a cult is for blind followers. Where as the intellectual usually thinks apart from others, and critically too. He or she doesn't see it as a flawless body, or even take sides. And from I have seen in this subreddit, is an encouragement of being intellectually strong, and open minded in a lot of ways--As opposed to the console followings and fanbases, where you have a vicious, anti-analytic hive mind controlling the body...Let me reference Star Trek to say the console fanbases is emotionally compromised at most times.

        Why has the most intellectual response ITT been down-voted to the bottom? I intentionally search through the controversial posts and attempt to find the truth in them but, it seems that the Master Race has largely become a single mind that has stopped evaluating their conclusions and instead expects their peers to do it for them. It's not a good sign when the most relevant of responses become diluted by one-liners and casual consensus.

        Sometimes it sure feels like it, but you need to understand that first there is no formal heirarchy, youre free to adhere to what you do or do not like about the sub.

        For instance I only adhere to the first bullet point on that list.

        I firmly belive GabeN is a man, deeply flawed as every other, but acknowledge he has done good for PC gaming, but thats it.

        I routinely find myself disagreeing with many of my brothers desire to "convert" the so called "peasants" which is another tradition I do not share in. Nor do I insult or shun those who play consoles although Ill admit to not having any console playing friends; then again I dont have many friends to begin with so thats not surprising.
