I am so relieved, to be honest! What makes me sad is that I'm leaving some of the best/smartest people I've ever worked with and some very close friends.

From our past few meetings, John made it seem like animal health was doing very well. They put so much money into revamping their website and additionally they recently purchased the huge warehouse across from the current Dallas office. The plan being to move the entire animal health department over there and have two separate warehouses. But with the recent USDA developments like you mentioned, I'm sure their sales will fall as well.

The head of HR did it. The entire time the Dallas location has been open there has been no actual HR rep on site, which is absurd.

John and Brenda would come in every 1-2 months. For one period of time they were gone for I'd say 4 months or more and all sales meetings were over the phone. When they did spend time in Dallas it was only for 4-5 days and then they would leave and not one word would be said to anyone.

I'm just glad to be out of there. I hope all of my former coworkers can get out as soon as possible.

Did you work in SC or PR?

John and Brenda haven't visited SC for about 2 years, not that anyone is complaining about that!

Yeah that's what I heard from the tech service guys out there. Lucky them! Lol

How come no local media outlets have reported on the USDA case? Buzzfeed, San Jose Mercury News, HuffPost, etc... But no local news for any of the offices besides the usual Snaga Cruz animal rights groups. Annoyed that they spend so much money on their precious ponies and no one points out the hypocrisy.

I would like to know too. One time John was bragging about how he was going to put a helicopter pad next to the Dallas office so they could just fly from their ranch in weatherford,tx to the office building...

Damn sorry to hear that but thank you for sharing. It's interesting how this company operates in the shadows and doesn't tell employees or management about changes to the company like this. Personally, I work in the lab and this doesn't really affect me but I wonder if SC Tech Services is aware of this. And if their jobs are in jeopardy too?

Ahhhhhh thanks. I didn't even know they were two separate departments.

Actually technical sales in Dallas was on the research/antibody side. animal health has their own separate sales department.

      Oopsies!

Tech service in SC only became aware when we did, that people were getting laid off. They have been busy for months approving product reviews for the website and putting together the "you may also like" section under each product block. Along with other special projects John is always throwing at them. I think John wants to keep as many people as he can in tech service doing his various tasks.
